Margaret T. Jones, PhD, FACSM, FNSCA, CSCS*D is a Professor of Sport, Recreation, and Tourism Management at George Mason University where she serves as the sport scientist of the Frank Pettrone Center for Sports Performance and the Director of the Patriot Performance Laboratory. Previously, as the Director of Strength and Conditioning at Springfield College (MA) she supervised training programming for 500 collegiate athletes from 24 sports. Dr. Jones’ research objective is to address questions that will benefit the sports science practitioner and contribute to the development of research-based practice in exercise and sport science. Her research topics, which are integral to sports performance and athlete health include: assessment and development of muscular strength and power, athlete workload monitoring, and nutrition practices and dietary habits.
