Deasia Booker currently serves as the Academic Coordinator for George Mason Athletics.
Her role involves comprehensive academic advising, collaboration with faculty and campus partners, and the implementation of targeted strategies to promote retention and degree completion. Previously, she used to work as a Learning Specialist where she helped student-athletes reach their academic goals.
She began her journey at Mason back in 2019 where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminology, Law and Society in 2023. After graduating, she completed a Paralegal Certification at the Community College of Baltimore County while gaining valuable experience with both the Washington Nationals and the Washington Commanders. She returned to Mason in 2024 to pursue a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in History and Social Sciences. During her graduate studies, she worked as an academic advisor in the School of Integrative Studies helping students in Integrative Studies, Environmental and Sustainability Studies, and Human Development and Family Science.
A native of Baltimore, Maryland, she loves cheering on the Baltimore Ravens, Baltimore Orioles as well as Tottenham Hotspur F.C. Outside of work, she loves watching reality TV shows, baking and spending time with her dog, Leo.
