David Cantor

David Cantor joined the George Mason men’s basketball staff as a graduate manager in summer 2024.
 
Cantor comes to Mason from Ohio State, where he served as a student manager for the past three seasons. In that role, he created opponent film, scouting and player development video packages, assisted in practice drills and operations and conducted individual player development workouts. As head manager in 2023-24, he also oversaw the full undergraduate student manager team. During his tenure in Columbus, he worked with a number of future NBA talents, including Malaki Branham (San Antonio Spurs) and EJ Liddell (New Orleans Pelicans).
 
A native of Las Vegas, Nevada, Cantor graduated from Ohio State in May 2024 with a degree in education.
 
Cantor has served as a draft assistant for ESPN’s Jay Bilas in each of the past two years. In that role, he’s created scouting reports on the top-71 prospects and helped create Bilas’ Best Available List for his ESPN segments.
 
He also co-hosts The Practice Players Podcast, which has featured Bilas, the Spurs’ Zach Collins and ESPN’s Sean Farnham among its guests.
 
Cantor is the son of Neil Cantor & Karen Shulman and has a sister, Lauren.
