Christopher (CJ) Minteer

CJ was hired as the equipment manager in July of 2021, then was promoted to Director of Procurement  in August of 2022 at George Mason. He is a certified equipment manager by the American Equipment Managers Association (AEMA).

CJ directs and oversees a staff of one full time and nine student managers. He is responsible for overseeing equipment operations, maintaining George Mason's adidas contract and assist all sports with procurement needs. 

Prior to Mason, CJ worked as the assistant equipment manager for Olympic sports for James Madison from 2018-2021. He was the contact for 13 teams, servicing all equipment needs, inventorying and laundering. 

As an undergrad at James Madison, CJ worked as a student equipment manager for the Dukes football team at from 2017-2018. He experienced JMU's National Championship run in 2017.

A native of Chambersburg, Pa, CJ earned a B.S in Sport & Recreation Management from James Madison University in 2018.

Residing in Northern Virginia for 18 years, CJ played rugby collegiately for two years, including time on teams from Lord Fairfax CC and James Madison.
