Adam Burke M.S., CSCS is a PhD student in Education specializing in Kinesiology at George Mason University. He obtained his BS in exercise science from Salisbury University, and his MS in sports science from Hofstra University. Current research interests include athlete load monitoring, specifically hormonal analyses, biomarkers of fatigue, and body composition. Another research interest is the effect of accentuated eccentric loading (AEL) on force development, muscle activity, and post-activation potentiation. As a researcher, his goals are to contribute to the body of knowledge within the field of sports science. As a practitioner, his goals are to provide evidence-based knowledge to assist strength and conditioning professionals to aide athletes. When not in the lab, Adam trains for powerlifting competitions, and reads about different training methodologies.
