2019-20:  Starter at 125 pounds for the second consecutive season... Earned wins in each of the first two tournament to start the season... At the Southeast Open started with a 9-7 decision over UNC's Jeremiah Derby... In the Journeymen Classic, he earned a 7-5 win over Utah Valley's Josiah Nava... In first dual against Clarion, defeated Cameron Butler, 6-3... Selected as the recipient of the George Mason OrthoVirginia Student Achiever Award, an honor that recognizes outstanding student-athletes for their efforts in the classroom and out in the community... 2020 Peter N. Stearns Provost Scholar Athlete, the highest academic distinction for a student-athlete at George Mason. 

2018-19:  Starter at 125 pounds…Placed fourth at the 2019 Eastern Wrestling League Championships held at EagleBank Arena in Fairfax on March 9…Earned the Mason Wrestling Team Academic Award…Finished the season 9-18 overall, including a 6-10 dual record…Went 2-4 in EWL duals…Career-high wins (9) and matches (27)…Competed in three tournaments (Hokie Open, Jonathan Kaloust Bearcat Open and Patriot Open)…Registered three falls, two major decisions, and two decisions during the season…Recorded first win of the season with a fall at 1:37 of the first period against Avery Brown (Bluefield College) at the Hokie Open in Roanoke, Va. on Nov. 4...Won by forfeit at Gardner-Webb on Dec. 20…Won by fall at 2:50 of the first period against Ode Zamir (at Davidson) on Dec. 20…Picked up a 7-6 decision over Gavin Park (Clarion) on Jan. 17…Earned a 15-12 decision over Arick Shankles (Edinboro) on Jan. 27…Posted a 9-1 major decision over Mike Simonetti (at Franklin and Marshall) on February 9…Notched his second fall of the season at 6:21 against Jacob Martin (at Hofstra) on Feb. 22…Won two matches at the 2019 EWL Championships, earning an injury default against Gavin Park (Clarion) and a medical forfeit against Lucas Rodriguez (Edinboro).

2017-18:  Finished the season with an overall record of 0-9…Competed in five dual matches during the season...Made his Mason dual debut vs. Clarion on Jan. 21.

2016-17:  Did not compete.

Prep:  Three-year wrestling letterwinner at Yorktown High School…6A Liberty District Conference Champion in 2016…Member of the All-State team in 2016…Finished with a high school record of 111-28, including a 41-6 record his senior season…Placed fifth at the Southeast Regionals…Named 2016 Arlington Wrestling Sportsman of the Year…Most improved student in 2014…Also wrestled three years for the Gunston Wrestling Club…Member of the Honor Roll in 2015.

Personal:  Volunteers at the Prince William County Juvenile Detention Center, working directly with troubled youth, as well as helping students at the NOVA Wrestling Club with homework and wrestling... Spends time with All One (AL1), an organization that partners with local neighborhoods to keep the local communities clean... As a student-athlete, he has served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Council and participated in study abroad programs where he has represented Mason overseas.Son of Rubina Bano…Has two siblings:  Aisha and Zanab…Major is undeclared.
