2013-14: Started the season at 157lbs. before moving down to 149... Posted a 11-14 overall record... 4-9 in duals while going 0-4 vs. EWL opponents... Third place finish at the Cradle Gear Invitational... Two major decisions, two technical falls and one fall recorded on the season. 

2012-13: Posted a 1-5 record.

2011-12: Finished the year with a 6-13 record overall and a 2-10 record in dual competitions... Completed the season with one major decision victory and four pins.

2010-11:   Was 6-13 overall with a 2-1 record in the CAA... Was one of three Mason wrestlers to record a technical fall and also recorded a fall... Wrestled at 149, 157, and 165 pounds.

Prep: Lettered for four years in wrestling and track at Prospect High School... Lettered two years in football... Central Coast Section Champion at 135 pounds... 2009 Junior Greco All-American at 140 pounds... Made the California National Team 2007-09... Finished his high school career with a record of 128-37... Member of the California Honor Society... Also a member of the Eagle Scouts.

Personal: Parents are Kozue and Masayuki Takagi... Has a brother, Takashi, and a sister, Asami... Double majoring in Finance and Business Management with a Japanese minor...
