Chris Tran serves as assistant coach for the George Mason University women's tennis team.

Tran brings more than 20 years of professional tennis coaching experience to Fairfax, where he assists head coach Stephen Curtis in all aspects of the program.

In addition to his work with the Patriots, Tran serves as the Director of Performance Tennis at Tuckahoe Swim & Tennis Club as well as the tennis pro at Westwood Country Club in Vienna. He also is the tennis pro and tournament director at Skyline Sports & Health in Falls Church.

Tran also brings a wealth of Div. I coaching experience to Mason, having served as an assistant coach for the Patriots from 2007-09. He also worked as an assistant at George Washington from 2009 to 2014.

Prior to that stretch of his career, Tran worked in USTA junior tennis for the better part of eight years. He was named the USTA/VA Volunteer of the Year and also was named Assistant Pro of the Year by the USPTA in 2012.

Tran graduated from Kennedy-Western University.
