2010-11:
Earned All-CAA honors
for her performances in the 100-yard breaststroke, 200-yard breaststroke and
200-yard IM at the CAA Championships... Finished first in the 200-yard IM with a
time of 1:58.84, first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 59.97, and first
in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:10.68 at the CAA Championships...
Finished tied for first with Meredith Budner, who won CAA Women's Swimmer of
the Year, as the top overall point scorer at CAA's... Competed in the NCAA
Championships where she finished third out of 48 total swimmers in the 100-yard
breaststroke with a time of 59.23, seventh out of 50 total swimmers in the
200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:08.52, and 12th
out of 55 in
the 200-yard IM with a time of 1:57.51... All were season best times... Was named
the CAA Women's Swimmer of the Week three times this season (10/26/10, 11/9/10,
and 1/18/11).
2009-10:
Three-time All-American and CAA Women's Swimmer of the Year ... Earned Mason's Dr. Frank Pettrone Female Student-Athlete of the Year honors ... Finished second at the NCAA Championships in the 100-yard breaststroke (59.29), the highest finish ever by a Mason or CAA athlete at nationals ... Picked up All-America status with sixth-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:08.95) and was an All-America honorable mention in the 200-yard individual medley, finishing 16th (2:00.80) ... Set new conference, meet and school records with her performances at the CAA Championships, where she claimed first place in the 100-yard breaststroke (59.06), 200-yard breaststroke (2:08.66) and 200-yard individual medley (1:58.32) ... Also swam in four relays, including the second-place 400-yard (3:24.25) and 800-yard (7:22.40) freestyle relays as well as the third-place 200-yard medley relay (1:42.46) and the 400-yard medley relay ... Earned the CAA Women's Swimmer of the Week award on Nov. 10.
2008-09:
Earned CAA Women's Swimmer of the
Year honors after being crowned CAA champion in the 100 breaststroke
(59.78), the 200 breaststroke (2:10.21) and the 200 individual medley
(1:59.99) ... Set new George Mason, meet and CAA records in all three
events and was selected as the Outstanding Swimmer of the CAA
Championships ... Earned honorable mention All-America honors after a
15th-place finish in the 100 breaststroke. She also finished 19th in the
200 breast and 31st in the 200 IM at the NCAA's. Danner set a new
school record in the 400 IM this season as well ... Was named the CAA
Women's Swimmer of the Week four times during the season (Oct. 14, Nov.
4, Nov. 25, Jan. 20).
Prep:
Earned four letters in swimming and one in crew at Lake Braddock High School...Was MVP in swimming at high school junior and senior year...Holds state records in 200 IM and 100 Breast...District record holder in 50 Free, 100 Free and 100 Breast...All-American four years...Washington Post All-Met swimming four years...Washington Post All-Met swimmer senior year...Potomac Valley Swimming Outstanding Athlete of the Year four years.
