Biography

2020: Started all seven games at defense...Caused a team-best seven turnovers on the year...Picked up a ground ball in five of seven games...Caused a turnover in each of the first two games vs. No. 1 Maryland and William & Mary...Season-high three caused turnovers in the Mar. 12 win at UC Davis. 

2019: Appeared in nine games and made three starts… Scored her first collegiate goal in Mason’s 19-5 win vs. St. Bonaventure on March 31… Posted one ground ball and caused one turnover in Patriots’ 16-11 victory vs. St. Joseph’s on April 12… Recorded a career-high four ground balls and caused two turnovers in 15-10 win vs. George Washington on April 14.

2018: Played in five games and made one start...Picked up a ground ball and one caused turnover at Stetson on March 18...Had one ground ball vs. VCU on April 28.

Prep: Ali Johnston earned eight varsity letters at Manchester Valley High School in Maryland, one in indoor track, four in soccer, and three in lacrosse… In soccer, Ali was named the 2015/16 All-Conference goalie… In lacrosse, was named All-Conference player in 2016/17… Won the Maryland State Championship in lacrosse three times.
 
Personal:  Daughter of Jamie Johnston and Kim Deltuva… Has four siblings, Kyle, Dan, Rayna, and Garrett… Brother, Kyle, played on the men’s lacrosse team at Delaware Valley… Member of the National Honor Society… Was awarded the AP Scholar Award, Principle’s Challenge Award, 4.0 Scholar Award, Science Department Award, Outstanding Service Award, and Honor Society Outstanding Service Award… Cooking is one of Ali’s hobbies… Plans to major in Biology.
