2020 Indoor: Competed in three meets... Placed eighth in the 3000m at the Father Diamond Invite.

2019 Cross Country: Competed in four meets... Placed 34th in the two-mile run at the Spider Alumni Open (Aug. 31)... Ran a personal-best time of 20:36.6 in the 5k at the Mason Invitational (Sept. 13).

2019 Outdoor: Competed in three meets… Posted personal-best time of 10:46.75 in the 3000m run at the Dan Stimson Memorial Meet… Earned a personal record time (18:50.99) in the 5000m at the Colonial Relays. 

2019 Indoor: Competed in three meets… Placed eighth in the 5000m at the VMI Winter Relays.

2018 Cross Country: Placed 25th with a time of 26:03.1 in the 6K at the George Mason Invitational (Sept 29).

2017 Cross Country: Competed in five events...Placed 27th with a time of 22:56.0 in the 5.2K at the JMU Cross Country Open Invitational (Sept. 9)... Competed in the A-10 Championship (Oct. 28).

2017 Indoor: Competed in three meets…Set a personal-best time of 5:55.45 in the mile at the Patriot Games (Jan. 28)…Finished ninth in the 3,000m at the Last Chance Meet (Feb. 26).

Prep: Four-year letterwinner in track and three-year letterwinner in cross country at Holy Cross Academy... Named cross country and track and field captain her junior and senior years... Also played one year of field hockey... Member of National Honor Society.

Personal: Samantha Wood... Born on Oct. 2, 1998... Daughter of Milli and Bill Wood... Has an older sister, Stephanie (23), and an older brother, Scott (21)... Comes from an athletic family as both parents and both siblings have played sports in college... Scott is a senior on the men's track and field team at Rider University in New Jersey... Stephanie played softball at the University of Maine... Milli played field hockey at the University of Toledo... Bill played football at Drexel University... Plans to major in sports management.
