2018 Indoor: Competed in five meets... Posted a season-best time of 2:59.15 in the 1000m for a 15^th place finish at the Boston Univ. Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invitational (Feb. 3)... 

2017 Outdoor: Competed in six meets…Helped the 4x800-meter relay team to a second place finish at the Atlantic 10 Championships (May 6-7) with a time of 8:54.11…Posted a season-best time of 2:15.66 in the 800m at the Duke Invitational (April 21-22)…Qualified for the IC4A/ECAC Championships (May 12) in the 4x800-meter relay and finished fifth.

2017 Indoor: Competed in five meets…Finished first in the 1,000-meter run with a time of 3:03.70 at the Father Diamond (Jan. 7)…Posted a season-best time of 2:14.42 in the 800m at the Boston University Scarlett and White (Feb. 3-4)…Helped the 4x800-meter relay team to a second-place finish at the Atlantic 10 Championships (Feb. 18-19) with a time of 9:05.99.

2016 Cross Country: Competed in six races…Ran a season-best time of 23:43.9 in the 6K at the NCAA Division I Southeast Region XC Championships (Nov. 11)…Qualified for the Atlantic 10 Championships (Oct. 29) in the 5K.

Prep: Four-year letterwinner at Battlefield High School... Earned all-state honors... Received team MVP award and coach's award... Named captain of cross country and track teams... Earned Summa Cum Laude honors with a GPA of 4.16... Member of National Honors Society and National Spanish Honor Society... Also received Art White and Blue Ribbon.

Personal: Kyla Carte... Born on Feb. 9, 1998... Daughter of Kera and Steven Carte... Mother, Kera, competed in cross country, crew and rugby at Old Dominion... Plans to major in kinesiology.
