2022: Played in 47 games with 45 starts in his first year with the Patriots… Batted .329 (53-for-161) with 12 doubles, one triple, two home runs, 32 RBI, 34 runs scored, 19 walks, six hit by pitch and four sacrifice flies… Started 42 games in the outfield (28 RF, 9 CF, 5 LF) and three games as the designated hitter, entered one game as a pinch runner and entered one game as a pinch hitter (1-for-1)… Started the 21 games he played during the regular season against Atlantic 10 opponents and batted .311 (23-for-74) with seven doubles, one home run, 20 RBI, 19 runs scored, 11 walks, six hit by pitch and two sacrifice flies… Finished the season with 15 stolen bases on 19 attempts… Had a 15-game on-base streak (Apr. 20- May 14), fifth-longest on the team and a six-game hitting streak (Apr. 9-Apr. 16) during the season… Had 15 multi-hit games, second-most on the club (2H 10x, 3H 4x, 4H 1x) and tied for third on the team with seven multi-RBI games (2 RBI 5x, 3 RBI 2x)… At home, started the 19 games he played, and batted .320 (24-for-75) with two doubles, one home run, 17 RBI, 17 runs scored, five walks and two hit by pitch… On the road, played in 24 games with 22 starts, and led the club with a .324 batting average (23-for-71) with seven doubles, one triple, one home run, 15 RBI, 15 runs scored, 13 walks and four hit by pitch… Hit .333 (27-for-81) with runners on base, .500 (2-for-4) with the bases loaded, .302 (16-for-53) with runners in scoring position and .373 (19-for-51) with two outs… Hit .350 (14-for-40) vs. lefthanders and .322 (39-for-121) vs. righthanders…

PREP: Four-year baseball letterwinner and three-year football letterwinner at Walkersville High School in Walkersville, Md.… Was ranked the No. 20 overall player and No. 4 second baseman in Maryland by Perfect Game... Preseason All-American as a senior... Selected All-State in baseball… Member of the Lions football team the won the Maryland State Championship… Member of the Honor Roll for four years.
 
PERSONAL: Full name is Brett Ahalt… Son of Michelle and Dell… Has one sibling, Lauren… Father, Dell, played baseball for N.C. State (first base and third base) and was drafted in the 34th round of the 1988 MLB Amateur Draft (Played 58 games for the Erie Orioles in 1988, with four home runs, 16 RBI and 22 runs scored and played eight games with the Frederick Keys in 1989 with three RBI) and works in the Baltimore Orioles Organization.… Hobbies include fishing, hunting, grilling and snowboarding… Plans to major in Sports Management.
