Performance History

2016 Outdoor: Competed in five meets…Set a personal best in the 800m with a time of 1:57.13 at the Duke Invitational… Qualified for the IC4A/ECAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

2016 Indoor: Competed in four meets… Set a personal best in the 1000m with a time of 2:44.68 at Father Diamond (Jan. 9)…        Set a personal best in the mile with a time of 4:33.10 at the Last Chance Meet (Feb. 28).

2015 Outdoor: Competed in five meets for the Patriots…Set a personal record in the 1500m run finishing fourth at the 2015 Tribe Invitational in a time of 4:13.34…Helped the Patriots to a second place finish in the 4x400m relay at the Tribe Invitational. 

2015 Indoor: Helped the Patriots finish second in the 4x8m relay at the Atlantic 10 Championship…Set a personal record in the 500m with a time of 1:08.29, 800m (1:57.45) and 1000m (2:51.36)

2014 Outdoor: Ran in the 400m, 800m and the 1500m...Set PRs in the 400m at the MSU Legacy Track & Field Meet (52.80), the 800m at the Spring Invite (1:58.02) and the 1500m at the 2014 Tribe Invitational (4:14.70)...Finished 21st at the A 10 Championships in the 800m.

2014 Indoor:  Ran in the 500m and 800m finishing as high as eighth in the 800m at the Patriot Games...Was part of the 4x800m relay team that finished second at the Father Diamond Invitational..Set PR in the 500m at the Father Diamond Invitational (1:11.35).

Prep: Earned three varsity letters in both cross country and track and field at Mills Godwin High School in Richmond, Va. Won the 4x8 regional championships in 2012, All-Region 4x4 (2012,'13), 800 (2012) and 500  (2012).

Personal: Son of James Valva and Rita Sandy, born on July 13, 1995...Has two older sisters Amanda (30) and Kathryn (28).
