Jake Spotswood is joining the George Mason coaching staff as an assistant coach with expertise in the multi-events, pole vault, strength training, and social media strategy. He has years of experience in coaching, strength coach shadowing, and various clinic experience under his belt. He will also be training for the 2024 professional season.

Spotswood is a former 2x NCAA All-American, All-SEC, All-ACC, 6x School Record Holder (Alabama & Virginia Tech), and 3x Team Conference Champion.

Spotswood is originally from Fairhope, AL and completed his bachelor degree at the University of Alabama as well as graduate school at Virginia Tech.
