Peter Hazlett works closely with men's tennis head coach Jimmy Davis while serving as the team's volunteer assistant.
Hazlett played four seasons for Kenyon College from 2014-18, where he helped the team maintain a top-15 NCAA Div. III national ranking for much of his career. He led the Lords to four NCAA Tournament appearances, including three Sweet 16s and the 2017 Elite Eight. The team also won four conference titles during his career. Hazlett served as the team's senior captain in 2017-18.
While at Kenyon, Hazlett also worked closely with the program's coaching staff, where he organized and coached weekly training sessions outside of practice with teammates and led the program to a number of big on-court victories.
He also served as a private traveling coach for Robert Shymansky from 2016-18 while helping the USTA junior climb to as high as No. 29 in the national rankings. In addition, Hazlett worked at Fox Chapel Golf Club as assistant tennis pro and head of junior development from 2015-18.
Hazlett graduated from Kenyon College in 2018 with a dual degree in economics and mathematics. He is currently pursuing his doctorate in philosophy and economics at George Mason.
