Mitchell Frank

  • Title
    Volunteer Assistant Coach
Mitchell Frank enters his first season as a volunteer assistant coach for Mason's men's tennis team in the spring of 2017.

A former four-year letter winner at Virginia, Frank knows all about winning and has succeeded at pretty much every collegiate and junior tennis competition. After committing to UVA as the top recruit in the class of 2011, he won the 2013 and 2015 NCAA Team Championship with the Cavaliers as well as the 2013 ITA National Men's Indoor Championship.

The well-decorated trophy case of the three-time singles All-American's includes All-American singles titles in 2011 and 2013  and the 2011 indoor singles title. All that and a run to the quarter-finals of the 2012 NCAA individual championship helped Frank to nearly breaking into the top 500 of the Association of Tennis Professionals ranking with his career-high rank at 503rd. As a junior, he won two ITF Futures titles, played in all four Grand Slam tournaments and ranked among the top five in ITF's 18s age group. As devoted student as he was an athlete, Frank was named 2014 ACC Scholar Athlete of the Year.
