Curtis returned to his alma mater this fall as a student assistant coach after completing a strong career for the Patriots in spring 2017.

In two seasons for the Green & Gold, Curtis posted a 17-11 record in singles and 20-16 mark in doubles. During his senior campaign in 2016-17, Curtis registered a strong 10-4 record in dual singles action and partnered with current Mason sophomore Edward Ayers to tally a 15-10 mark in doubles. He was named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week on March 28, 2017.
