2010 Outdoor: Competed in the 800 and 1,500-meter runs
during the season ... Ran the 800 in 1:55.53, a season-best, at the
Mason Spring Invitational ... Completed the 1,500 in 4:02.75 at the
Mason Quadrangular, his fastest time of the season ... Also ran in the
4x400-meter relay at the Mason Spring Invitational.
2010 Indoor: Fastest time in the 800-meter run was 1:57.20
at the Father Diamond Invitational... Ran a time of 2:31.56 in the
1000-meter run at the Mason Last Chance meet... Member of the Patriots'
4x800-meter relay team that qualified for the IC4A Championships with a
time of 7:48.31 at the Hokie Invitational... Also competed in the mile
and 3000-meter run during the season.
2009 Cross Country: Redshirted the 2009 season.
2009 Outdoor: Participated in three events for the
Patriots... Recorded a season-best time of 2:00.64 in the 800-meters at
the UVA Spring Swashbuckle (Mar. 21)... Ran the 1,500-meters in a
season-best time of 3:54.99 at the Patriot Open Invitational (May 3)...
Completed the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a season-best 10:48.17 at the
Colonial Relays (Apr. 3).
2009 Indoor: Top time in the 1000-meter run was 2:32.40
for a first-place finish at the Mason Last Chance meet... Fastest time
in the mile was 4:20.02 at the VT Challenge.
2008 Cross Country: Gained valuable experience participating in daily practice sessions but did not compete at a meet.
Prep: Earned three letters in cross country and four
letters in indoor and outdoor track... Earned All-District honors for
cross country in 2006 and 2007... Earned All-Region honors in track in
2007 and 2008... Also recruited by Salisbury and Lynchburg.
Personal: Parents are Daniel and Kelly McGreal... Has one
sibling, Ryan... Major is government and international politics and
minor is history.
