Taylor Davis begins his first season as volunteer assistant coach with the George Mason baseball team for the 2018 season.
A left-handed pitcher and first baseman, Davis was a four-year letterwinner at Ferrum College from 2012 through 2015.
Prior to joining the Mason coaching staff, Davis was a graduate assistant coach in 2016 and 2017 at Eastern Mennonite University, where he worked with hitters and outfielders. Davis also coached with the Staunton Braves in the Valley Baseball League for the 2015 and 2016 seasons.
Davis, a Staunton, Va. native, graduated from Ferrum College in 2015 with degrees in history and social studies. He earned a master’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from Eastern Mennonite University in 2017.
