Few programs in college basketball history have captured the nation's imagination quite like George Mason Men's Basketball. In 2006, as an 11th seed, the Patriots took down Michigan State, North Carolina, Wichita State, and top-overall-seed Connecticut in overtime to reach the NCAA Final Four — a run so improbable it transformed how the college basketball world viewed possibility itself and cemented George Mason as the ultimate Cinderella story. The program has since built on that legacy with six NCAA Tournament appearances, four conference tournament championships, and most recently a share of the program's first-ever A-10 regular season title and an NIT appearance in 2024-25 — now under the direction of Coach Tony Skinn, a member of that legendary 2006 Final Four team himself.
