MASON BASKETBALL AT EAGLEBANK ARENA

EAGLEBANK ARENA SAFE RETURN GUIDELINES

All attendees at EagleBank Arena are required to comply with the following policies.  Any attendee who does not comply is subject to ejection from the venue.  An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present, and by attending an event you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

EagleBank Arena is continuing to monitor health guidelines and recommendations.  All policies are subject to change.

FACE COVERING POLICY

  • Face coverings are mandatory for everyone age 2 and older for entirety of event, including while seated in the arena in your assigned seat.  The only time removal of a face covering is permitted is when actively eating/drinking.  Anyone who removes their face covering when not actively eating is subject to ejection.
  • A face covering must cover your nose and mouth, and cannot be a gaiter, open-chin triangle handkerchief/bandana, costume mask, mesh material, or a covering with an exhalation valve or holes.  Face shields are not permitted as a substitute for a face covering but may be worn in addition to a face covering.
  • If you arrive at the arena and realize you have forgotten your face covering, there is a PPE Vending Machine in the box office lobby where you can purchase one prior to entering the arena.
  • Face coverings are a health and safety requirement by the state of Virginia and these policies will be strictly enforced.  Failure to comply with the face covering policy will result in one formal and specific verbal warning, followed by an ejection from the arena.

SELF-HEALTH SCREENING

  • Prior to arriving, EagleBank Arena and George Mason University encourage all patrons to check their temperature and do a self-health screening.  Patrons who have a temperature of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or more, or those who are in the most vulnerable population for complications from COVID-19, are asked to stay home and isolate.  If you have had a known exposure or symptoms to COVID-19 in the past 14 days, or have been around anyone who has, you should not attend.

CLEANING & SAFETY PROCEDURES

  • George Mason University facilities have been upgraded and modified to enhance public safety.   EagleBank Arena has implemented increased and more comprehensive sanitizing measures before and after every event, added additional staff to wipe down high traffic touch points on a more regular basis during events, and installed hand sanitizer dispensers at all entrances and seating portals.
  • All EagleBank Arena employees will be required to show proof of vaccination, complete a health screening prior to entry, and wear a face covering while working.
  • EagleBank Arena’s HVAC system has been recalibrated by George Mason University Facilities Engineers, with an increased frequency of filter replacement in accordance with recommended guidelines, and increased daily operational run hours of arena HVAC systems and equipment.

BAG POLICY & ENTRY

  • EagleBank Arena is encouraging guests to not bring a bag, in order to help enhance the contactless experience.  If you require a bag for your personal or health belongings, it is strongly recommended to bring something small and/or clear to expedite the screening process.
  • All guests and their belongings are subject to a search upon entry.  A list of prohibited items can be found here.

TICKETING

  • EagleBank Arena has transitioned to mobile ticketing to further restrict touchpoints and keep fans and staff safe.  Fans are strongly encouraged to save their tickets on their phone prior to arrival.   Mobile instructions can be found here.
  • The EagleBank Arena box office accepts the four major credit cards, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay.  Credit cards or Tap-to-Pay payment methods are encouraged to eliminate personal touch interactions at the window.
  • The box office will also deliver mobile tickets when purchasing in person.  We will require your cell phone number and email address, which will be used to deliver your tickets.  Once received you can open your tickets from the link provided, and if purchased in advance of event day you can add tickets to your Ticketmaster account for easy access the day of the event.
  • We will continue to have glass between our staff and customers, and use microphones/speakers to talk to each other.   There will be one line and all open windows will be available to help the next customer in line.  No longer will there be separate lines for will call pickup vs. ticket sales.  Please plan accordingly.
  • The box office lobby is cleaned daily, and during events high-touch locations will be cleaned repeatedly throughout the event.  In addition, there is hand sanitizer available at the windows and the exit for customers.

CONCESSION STANDS

  • EagleBank Arena concessions are open with limited menu options.
  • Condiments are available upon request.
  • Hand sanitizer and plexi-glass are located at each open stand.
  • The stands accept cash and credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.  George Mason University students can also pay with Mason Money Loyalty Cards.
