2025-26: Became the first Patriot in program history to be named the Atlantic 10 Men's Golf Player of the Year… Led the Patriots with a program-record 70.8 scoring average and a program-record -1.04 scoring average against par… Led the Patriots to a historic runner-up finish at the A10 Championship, while finishing seventh overall individually… Recorded eight top-25 finishes and five top-10 finishes during the season… Twice earned medalist honors, tying the school record for tournament victories in a single season… Co-medalist honors at the Nemacolin Collegiate Invitational after finishing 11-under-par… Co-medalist honors at The Island at West Bay Collegiate Invitational after finishing 15-under-par… Finished the season with a program-record National Ranking of No. 256… Set a program record with 21 par or better rounds… Set a program record with 131 birdies on the season… Moved into first place on the Patriots’ all-time career stroke average list (71.77)… Named a 2025-26 GCAA All-America Scholar for NCAA Division I.

2024-25:  McMeans was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference Team...  Mason's top finisher, tying for 15th among the 60 competitors at the A-10 Championship... At the Championship he recorded best round of the day on day two with a 6-under-par 66... McMeans' stellar 66 (-6) ranks fifth all-time in program history for an 18-hole score versus par... Earned Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors three times during the spring and notched seven top-25 finishes, including four Top 10 finishes... His standout performance came at the Seattle Invitational, where he placed runner-up at the prestigious Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, Washington...led the Patriots at the 2025 National Golf Invitational at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, Arizona where he earned a third-place finish... Led the Patriots in scoring average, 72.58, the third-best in George Maso history... Tied the program record with six eagles this season and is third overall in birdies in a season with 116.
 
Prep:  McMeans played his prep golf locally for Riverside High School in Leesburg and for Oceanside Collegiate Academy in South Carolina... At Riverside, McMeans twice finished runner-up (2020, 2022) at the VHSL Class 5 State Championship... The MVP for the Rams, McMeans earned All-Met First Team honors two times.
 
In one season at Oceanside Academy the team won the 2024 SCHSL Class 2AA State Championship... McMeans led the Landsharks with a two-under par 142 (72-70) and was named to the all-state team... McMeans won the 97^th Bob Riley Open played recently at Belle Haven Country Club in Alexandria, Va. hosted by the Washington Metro Golf Association. He birdied the first four holes to catch first-round leader and 2023 Champion, Owen Love.
 
McMeans finished 2^nd in the 2024 VSGA Junior Stroke Play at The Federal Club. He tied for third at the 2021 VSGA Junior Stroke Play Championship.
 
Personal: Vaughn's father Keith played football for the University of Virginia and brother Cavan played baseball at the College of Charleston. McMeans was also recruited by Christopher Newport University.
