2018: Utilized as team's primary catcher, making 32 of her 35 starts from behind the plate... Followed up her impressive freshman campaign with a better sophomore season, setting new personal bests with a .270 batting average, .409 slugging percentage and two triples... Recorded a two-run home run at Monmouth (Feb. 18)...Tallied a game-high three RBIs, including a two-run home run, in a victory versus Cornell (March 10)...Notched a game-high four RBIs off of a grand slam to lift Mason past Rhode Island (March 24)... Stole her third base of the season at Fordham (April 7)... Season-high five-game hitting streak from April 11-18 - hit .583 (7-for-12) in that stretch... Tallied a season-high three hits, two runs scored and a RBI in a victory at St. Bonaventure (April 15)... Finished the season with a hit in three of her last four games...
2017: Tied for second-most games played with 54…started all of them…finished with a batting average of .252 on team-most 163 at-bats…produced 41 hits (second-most on the team), team-best 25 RBI and 22 runs for a slugging percentage of .368, the highest by a Patriot in 2017. Wells finished her freshman season with 234 putouts at the catcher position. She had season-high three hits against Fairfield (March 4) and versus Dayton (May 10) in the Atlantic 10 Championship…season-high three runs scored in the 10-0 rout over Columbia (March 17) in the Jacksonville Invitational…recorded season-best 11 putouts at Rhode Island (April 15)…Reached base safely in 31 games.

Prep: Sydnee Wells' high school career at Crescenta Valley High School really picked up in her junior and senior years, when she earned all four of her softball honors. In 2015, as a junior, Wells was named to the Second Team All-Pacific League. Not only did the catcher make the conference's First Team the following season, when she batted .536 for 54 RBI, 10 home runs and 32 runs, but she was also named as the Pacific League Player of the Year. Wells also represented the Falcons on the Second Team All-Area while receiving academic honors all throughout high school.
Personal: Daughter of Shon and Sansanee Wells and the older sister to Sarah. Sydnee enjoys going to the beach, volunteering in church and softball-related activities such as coaching youth teams or giving private throwing and hitting lessons. She studies Sport Management.
