Prep: Anna Close enters intercollegiate rowing after one-year experience with the sport at McLean High School, where she also basketball for three years and volleyball for one year. Close earned the Academic Scholar Award for all three sports.

Personal: Daughter of Greg and Judee Close and older sister of Adie. A scientific brain since young age, Anna majors in civil engineering after earning first place in a science fair in high school and going on to place fourth at the regional level. She enjoys reading, yoga, knitting, and playing the ukulele.
