What: Towson 4-1 Invitational

Towson, Md. – This weekend, the George Mason women's tennis team heads out to Towson, Maryland, to compete in the Towson 4-1 Invitational. The tournament will take place at Towson University from Friday, September 25, to Sunday, September 27.

The standard format for each hidden dual match in this tournament will be four singles and one doubles match. All matches will be best of three sets, with the third set using a super tiebreaker.

The Patriots will compete against teams from Towson, Morgan State, Coppin State, Loyola, Mount St. Mary's, and Delaware State throughout this tournament.

Last Time Out
Last weekend, the Patriots competed in the Bill and Sandra Moore Invitational tournament at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. 

During that tournament weekend, Maya Bayat, Rowan Scronce, Brooklyn Siegel, Gray Feaster, and Lakshya Motam all won opening round matches on Friday. On Saturday, Scronce won both matches to make it to the singles final of the C Flight, but unfortunately had to default her finals match on Sunday due to an injury.

The Patriot duo of Rowan Scronce and Lakshya Motam made it through to the finals of the C Doubles Flight before falling to the Delaware State team of Celia Torrelles and Maite Bou Safont 5-7.

The Patriots are at home for their next tournament, as they host the Patriot Fall Invitational Tournament here in Fairfax, from Saturday, October 10, to Sunday, October 11.
