Fairfax, Va. – George Mason graduate student Alex DeRoussel and freshman Kolbin Heberlig have been named the Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week and Rookie Performer of the Week, respectively, the league announced on Tuesday.

DeRoussel earned A10 Performer of the Week honors after capturing the individual title at Friday's Main Line Invitational in Haverford, Pa., pacing the field with a personal-best four-mile time of 19:35.4. A Mason, Ohio, native, DeRoussel has now won each of the Patriots' first two races of the 2026 season after earning his first career individual title at the season-opening Salisbury University Fall Classic on September 5.

Heberlig was named A10 Rookie Performer of the Week after finishing 14^th overall in 19:59.5 at the Main Line Invitational. The freshman from Carlisle, Pa., made the most of the Patriots' trip to his home state, crossing the line as George Mason's fifth finisher. He continued his strong start to the season which began with a ninth-place finish at Salisbury.

With DeRoussel and Heberlig leading the way, the George Mason men's cross country team earned a runner-up team finish at the Main Line Invitational, finishing just one point behind Stony Brook.

DeRoussel, Heberlig, and the George Mason men's and women's cross country teams will return to action on Friday, October 2, at the Richmond Invitational in Mechanicsville, Va.
