FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason women's lacrosse has added attacker Georgia Sobocinski to its roster ahead of the 2027 season, Head Coach
Kara Mupo announced. Sobocinski joins the Patriots after a 4-year stint at Villanova University.
"We are very excited to welcome Georgia to the Mason Lacrosse family!" said Coach Mupo. "Her level of [competition], along with her offensive skill set will help elevate our attack unit for the 2026-2027 season."
The Pittsboro, N.C. native made her collegiate debut against La Salle in 2024 after suffering an injury her freshman year. From 2025-2026, Sobocinski played in six games, recorded two shots, and one assist.
Prior to Villanova, the graduate student was a two-time North Carolina state champion at Cardinal Gibbons High School. In 2022, Sobocinski was named a USA Lacrosse All-American and earned the NCHSAA Sportsmanship Award and the NCHSAA Tony Cullen Memorial Award.
Sobocinski comes from an accomplished athletic family. Her father, Eric. played baseball for Villanova and for the Phillies in the minor league.
