Owen Clyne Selected Division I Baseball All-ECAC Shortstop

FAIRFAX, Va. – Owen Clyne was selected Division I Baseball All-ECAC Shortstop, the organization announced.

The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) selected its major award winners and the 14 player All-ECAC Team on Tuesday.

Clyne, from Wichita, Kansas, started all 56 games at shortstop during the 2026 campaign and was a semifinalist for the Brooks Wallace Award for the top shortstop in the nation. 

In his second year with the Green and Gold, Clyne led the team in hits (73), triples (3), home runs (9), RBI (56), walks (36), runs scored (57), slugging percentage (.555) and total bases (121).  He tied for first in doubles (15), was second in batting average (.335) and fourth in stolen bases (21). 

Clyne had three hitting streaks of at least nine games (9 games 4/10-4/24, 11 games 2/14-3/8, 13 games 3/13-4/3) and recorded 19 multi-hit games, 17 multi-run games and 16 multi-RBI games.  He reached base at least once in 48 of 56 games.  Against A-10 opponents during the regular season, Clyne hit .342 with all nine of his home runs in conference play, led the club in RBI (38), total bases (73), walks (25) and runs scored (35), and tied for first in hits (38) in conference play.

Clyne will play summer collegiate baseball for the Aberdeen IronBirds in Harford County, Md.
