FAIRFAX, Va. – Six members of the George Mason women's lacrosse team were named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® At-Large Team, the organization announced Tuesday, making women's lacrosse the only George Mason program to earn representation on this year's team.

Giselle Torain. Women's lacrosse was the only George Mason program to have student-athletes recognized on the CSC Academic All-District® At-Large Team.
Anders led the Patriots' offense in 2026, starting all 16 games and finishing with a team-high 50 goals to go along with 12 assists, 55 draw controls, and 23 ground balls. In goal,
Regan Bestick started every contest and recorded 147 saves while anchoring the Mason defense. Ellis also started all 16 games and led the team with 28 assists, serving as one of the Patriots' primary playmakers.
Kaitlyn Bestick turned in another strong season, totaling 29 goals, six assists, 22 ground balls, and 32 draw controls while earning Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team honors. Rizzio started all 16 contests and collected 12 ground balls while helping lead the back line. Torain made 15 starts as a sophomore and contributed 13 goals, four assists, and 17 ground balls during the 2026 campaign.
Selected by College Sports Communicators, the Academic All-District® Men's and Women's At-Large Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined achievements in competition and in the classroom.
At-large consideration is reserved for student-athletes competing in NCAA-sponsored sports, such as fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, water polo, men's volleyball, women's beach volleyball, women's bowling, field hockey, and women's rowing. To be eligible, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50 while also meeting participation requirements in their respective sport.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Academic All-America® selections will be announced July 7 for women's teams.
