CHESTER, Pa. - George Mason track & field will continue its outdoor season on Monday, May 11, as several middle-distance and distance runners compete at the Widener Final Qualifier. A complete meet schedule is linked, and fans can follow the Patriots' performances throughout the day via the live results site.
The Patriots will look to secure qualifying marks for the NCAA East Regional First Round, which will be held in Lexington, Ky. at the UK Track & Field Complex.
For each individual event contested at the First Round sites, the top 48 declared student-athletes will earn entry into the competition. In relay events, the top 24 declared relay teams will qualify.
For the combined events — the heptathlon and decathlon — the top 24 student-athletes on the national descending-order list will bypass First Round competition and advance directly to the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Ore., scheduled for June 10–13.
