FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason softball capped an unbeaten week at 4–0, marking its longest winning streak of the season. The Patriots outscored opponents 23–4, powered by dominant performances in the circle. Sophomore Abbey Lane was named Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week, while freshman pitcher Bri Lencz earned Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors, giving the team two of the conference's three weekly awards.

Mason opened the week with a midweek matchup against the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Bri Lencz started in the circle and had a career day, earning the win after pitching 5.0 innings, allowing just one hit and zero runs while recording a career-high eight strikeouts. She also appeared in two of three games against St. Bonaventure, finishing the week with 13.0 innings pitched, 10 strikeouts, a 0.54 ERA, and a 2–0 record. The weekly honor marks the first Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week award of Lencz's career. Two other freshmen on the Patriots' roster have also been recognized by the conference with the award earlier this season.

Sophomore Abbey Lane also had an impressive week in the circle. She started Game One and Game Three of the Atlantic 10 Conference series against St. Bonaventure, including a 6–0 shutout in the opener. For the week, Lane finished with a 2–0 record, pitching 9.0 innings with a 0.00 ERA and five strikeouts. This marks her second Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week honor of the season, the first coming on March 10.
