PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — George Mason University fell to Saint Joseph's 4-2 on Saturday. George Mason secured the doubles point with victories at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.

George Mason captured the doubles point with victories at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. Niza Simunyola and Edgar Vilain secured a 6-4 win over Othman Bezzaz and Ernesto Ruy at No. 2 doubles, while Deniz Okyay and Shari Saeed clinched the doubles point with a 7-5 victory against Davi Carlos and J. Gaudreau Barnes at No. 3 doubles. Saint Joseph's managed to take No. 1 doubles, as Damir Abdusamadov and Santiago Valle overcame Ekansh Kumar and Monil Lotlikar 6-4.

In singles play, Saint Joseph's dominated to win the overall match. At No. 3 singles, Ekansh Kumar delivered a straight-sets win for the Patriots, defeating Damir Abdusamadov 7-5, 6-3, which kept the Green & Gold in the lead. However, Saint Joseph's regained control at No. 1 singles, where Santiago Valle bested Okyay 6-3, 6-1, and at No. 2 singles, where Ernesto Ruy edged out Lotlikar 6-7(3), 6-0, 6-4.

Saint Joseph's continued its momentum with Othman Bezzaz defeating Simunyola 6-3, 6-3 at No. 4 singles, clinching the match for Saint Joseph's.  In the final match, J. Gaudreau Barnes completed a comeback against Saeed, winning 1-6, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 6 singles, finalizing the dual score at 5-2 in favor of Saint Joseph's. Vilain and Singh Pawar's match at No. 5 left unfinished at 7-5, 1-2.
