Fairfax, Va. – The George Mason men's golf team sits atop the leaderboard heading into the final round of the 2026 Atlantic 10 Men's Golf Championship at the Evermore Orlando Resort's Cypress Course.
The Patriots (-3) hold a four-stroke lead over in-state rivals VCU (+1) and Richmond (+1). The Spiders made a strong move on day two with a tournament-best 7-under-par team round, climbing three spots. George Mason was the only other team to finish under par on the day, posting a 287 (-1).
Richmond's Lucas Rizo-Patron leads the individual standings at 7-under-par, while VCU's Carson Looney sits one stroke back in second place.
Sophomore Uzair Mirza bounced back after an opening-round 77, firing a 4-under-par 68—the second-best round of the day. He jumped 20 spots on the leaderboard and enters the final round tied for 16th at the par-72, 7,085-yard Cypress Course.
Sophomore David Fuhrer is eighth overall after carding an even-par 72 on Tuesday (71-72=143). He is one of 11 players currently under par for the tournament.
Vaughn McMeans and JJ Powell each posted 2-over-par 74s in round two. McMeans sits in 12th place, while Powell is tied for 19th overall.
The final round begins Wednesday with tee times starting with the Patriots first tee time at 8:15 am.
