FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason softball (25-20, 9-9 A-10) will play its penultimate Atlantic 10 series this weekend, hosting conference-leading Loyola Chicago (23-19, 15-3 A-10) for its final home games of the season at the GMU Softball Complex. The Patriots and Ramblers will meet in a three-game series, featuring a doubleheader on Saturday and a single game on Sunday. Admission is free and open to the public.

CELEBRATING THE SENIORS
Prior to Saturday's doubleheader, George Mason will recognize and celebrate its six graduating student-athletes: Tess Altevers Harris, Harlowe Nigh, Kamryn Inman, Logan Pickford, Elyssa DeRosa, and Kaleigh Friend.
On Sunday, trading cards featuring the senior class will be distributed while supplies last. Following the game, fans will have the opportunity to meet the team during a postgame autograph session, with seniors available to sign their cards.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
Loyola Chicago enters the weekend after sweeping George Washington in an A-10 series (4-2, 5-4 in 10 innings, 7-1). The Ramblers have won four conference series by sweep this season, also taking all three games against Rhode Island, Saint Joseph's, and Dayton. Their only A-10 losses came in the first two games against Saint Louis (0-6, 0-8) and in the series finale against St. Bonaventure (1-2).
Loyola Chicago leads the all-time series against George Mason, 9-5, including a 4-2 record in Fairfax. In last season's meeting, the Ramblers swept the Patriots (1-0, 8-0, 6-4) to extend their winning streak to four.
Offensively, Loyola Chicago is led by Nat Lesnicki, who is batting .379 with 50 hits, 10 doubles, and three home runs. Liz Sedakis matches the team lead with three home runs and leads the Ramblers with 28 RBIs while batting .271. Megan Piotrowski is hitting .263 and leads the team with 28 runs scored.
In the circle, Loyola Chicago holds a 3.71 team ERA. Anna Kiel leads the pitching staff with a 2.94 ERA in 88.0 innings and a team-high nine wins. Brooke Steinhorst has posted a 3.30 ERA over 74.1 innings, while Katie Geydoshek owns a 4.30 ERA and leads the team with 51 strikeouts. Madddy Hickey adds depth with 52.1 innings pitched and a 4.95 ERA.

The Patriots earned a 4-1 victory over Howard on Wednesday, powered by a standout performance from Tess Altevers Harris and a strong showing in the circle. Altevers Harris led the way with two solo home runs, while George Mason capitalized on defensive miscues late to extend its lead. In the circle, Abbey Lane tossed 3.0 scoreless innings to start the game, allowing just one hit. Allowing just one run in 4.0 innings, Bri Lencz earned the win to improve to 8-3 on the season.
