FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason Patriots (23–20, 9–9 A-10) return home to host the Hampton Pirates (10–29, 4–17 CAA) in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday, April 21 at the GMU Softball Complex. First pitch is set for 2 p.m., and admission is free for all fans.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
Hampton enters Tuesday's contest following a three-game series against the College of Charleston, where the Pirates went 1–2 with scores of 4–15, 2–1, and 0–8.
George Mason holds a 16–7 advantage in the all-time series, with the last meeting coming on April 12, 2017, when the Patriots swept a doubleheader (4–3, 4–0). Hampton is 3–9 all-time on the road against George Mason.
Offensively, Carmynn Bonner leads the Pirates with a .402 batting average, along with 19 runs, 47 hits, eight doubles, six home runs, and 28 RBIs. Riley Bohanon adds a .344 average with 32 hits and 14 runs scored, while Violet Salazar and Camryn Hamilton have contributed 14 and 19 RBIs, respectively.

Over the weekend, George Mason split a doubleheader at Villanova, falling 6–1 in the opener before rebounding with an emphatic 11–3 victory in game two.
In game one, Villanova jumped ahead with a four-run first inning and never looked back, limiting George Mason to just four hits. Logan Pickford provided a bright spot with a double and a run scored, while Maddie Lemasters drove in the Patriots' lone run.
The Patriots responded decisively in game two, erupting for a season-high 11 runs on 12 hits. Pickford led the charge, going 3-for-4 with four RBIs and a home run while also recording the 100th hit of her career. Lemasters and Alyssa Hopkins each added key RBIs, and Elyssa DeRosa contributed three hits. In the circle, Bri Lencz was dominant, tossing 6.2 innings without allowing an earned run to secure the 11-3 win.
