CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference placed 57 wrestlers on this year's 2025-26 Academic All-MAC team, including seven from George Mason.
Kent State Golden Flashes led the 12-team league with eight student-athlete honorees.
George Mason and Northern Illinois both had the second-highest honorees with seven student-athletes to make the Academic All-MAC, followed by Central Michigan, Edinboro, and Ohio with six honorees each.
NCAA Qualifiers Malichi DuVall,
Kaden Cassidy and
Logan Messer have earned the academic award multiple times, including a fourth consecutive time for DuVall.
Four wrestlers earned the honor for the third time including Cassidy, Messer,
Donovan Sprouse, and
JB Dragovich. Ben Monn and
Thomas Stofka earned the academic award for the first time.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests scheduled or completed in the particular sport. First-year students and ANY transfer students in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
