FAIRFAX, Va. – The Patriots continue their season-long eight-game homestand when they host Davidson for a three-game series beginning Friday with the first pitch scheduled for 2 p.m. at Spuhler Field.
The Patriots took two-of-three from the Wildcats May 9-11, 2025 during the regular season at Davidson. After winning the first game, 15-7, which included outfielder
Lucas Alberti's first collegiate grand slam, the Patriots dropped the middle game, 6-4. The Patriots would finish the weekend with a decisive 6-2 victory in the finale to win the series.
George Mason and Davison have played six series since the Patriots joined the A-10, with four of the series played in Davidson, N.C. The Patriots hosted the Wildcats in 2015 and 2024.
The Patriots (7-2 A-10) begin the weekend one game out of first place in the A-10, behind VCU and Saint Joseph's, both 8-1 in league play.
Last time out, the Patriots fell to USC Upstate, 14-10, on Tuesday at Spuhler Field. Graduate student

Senior shortstop
Owen Clyne leads the A-10 and is tied for 23rd in the NCAA with a .418 batting average, and is second in the league and tied for 40th nationally in hits (42). He leads the A-10 in OPS (1.241), is second in slugging percentage (.653) and on-base percentage (.500), tied for the fourth-most doubles (9) and tied for the fifth-most runs scored (27).
In 26 starts this season, Clyne is 42-for-101 with three home runs, three triples, nine doubles, 24 RBI and 27 runs scored. He has a 12-game hitting streak and has recorded at least one hit in 24 of 26 games, including 11 multi-hit games this season.
Terilli is ninth in the A-10 and second on the team in batting average (.359), and is tied for 10th in the league and is second on the Patriots in hits (37).
Alberti leads the team and is tied for the fourth-most home runs in the Atlantic 10 (6) and is tied for eighth in the league in stolen bases (14). He leads the team in RBI (25) and is third on the club in both batting average (.333) and hits (33). He has at least one hit in 21 of 26 games, including 10 multi-hit games.
Freshman infielder
Julius Bagnerise has started all 26 games and ranks tied for third in the A-10 and tied for 14th nationally in stolen bases (19).
On the mound, senior
Logan Rumberg (4-1, 3.65) has started eight games. Among league leaders, he is tied for third in strikeouts (43) and wins (4), fifth in innings pitched (37.0), and has posted the seventh-lowest opponent batting average (.218).
Sophomore
Jake Drumm (2-0, 3.03) has made eight appearances with three starts and graduate student
Diego Cardenas (3-2, 3.98) has made seven appearances with six starts.
SCOUTING DAVIDSON
Davidson has a record of 12-14, including a mark of 4-5 against Atlantic 10 opponents. The Wildcats are 11-5 at home, 1-7 on the road and 0-2 in games played at a neutral site.
Last time out, Davidson lost its midweek game at Duke, 14-9, on Tuesday in Durham, N.C. The Wildcats hit three home runs in the game.
The Wildcats took two-of-three at home against Dayton in their last A-10 series (March 27-29). The Flyers won the opener, 20-4, and the Wildcats claimed the middle game, 9-7, and the finale, 9-8 in 12 innings.
Davidson dropped two-of-three games at home in A-10 play against Fordham (March 13-15) and on the road at La Salle (March 20-22).
Junior pitcher/outfielder Forrest Lietz leads the team in batting average (.388), is tied for first in hits (33) and home runs (4), is second in RBI (25) and third in runs scored (18). Freshman utility player Matt Manjooran leads the club in RBI (29), is tied for first in hits (33) and doubles (6), and is tied for second in batting average (.340).

GEORGE MASON 2026 SCHEDULE
The Patriots are scheduled to play a 55-game slate that includes 30 contests against Atlantic 10 Conference rivals, 26 games at Spuhler Field, and eight games against three teams that earned a NCAA Regional appearance last season.
George Mason played nine games in the first month of the 2026 campaign. The Patriots began the season with a four-game series at No. 23 Oregon (Feb. 13-15) in Eugene, Ore. The Ducks, who were the 12th seed in the NCAA Eugene Regional last year, swept the series.
George Mason traveled for games against Seton Hall and Ball State at the Swig & Swine Classic in Charleston, S.C. (Feb. 20-21). The Patriots dropped their first game against Seton Hall, 8-6, then defeated Ball State, 6-1, and Seton Hall 11-4.
The Patriots had their home opener against William & Mary (Feb. 24) postponed.

In March, George Mason is scheduled to play 18 games with 10 at home and eight on the road.
The Patriots defeated James Madison, 11-2, (March 3) in Harrisonburg, Va. George Mason played three games against Georgetown (March 6-8) with two of the games at Spuhler Field and one at Capital One Park in Tyson, Va. The Patriots dropped the opener, 6-5, and the series finale, 5-4, in Fairfax. George Mason won the middle game, 12-7, at Capital One Park. The Patriots traveled for a midweek road contest against Longwood (March 10) and fell to the Lancers, 11-1, in Farmville, Va.
George Mason began Atlantic 10 play with a three-game series sweep over St. Bonaventure at Spuhler Field by final scores of 4-3, 15-11 and 3-0 (March 13-15). The Patriots lost to Mount St. Mary's (March 18) 9-8 in a midweek game to wrap up the homestand.
The Patriots play six of their next seven games on the road. The stretch began with the first A-10 road series against defending Atlantic 10 Champion Rhode Island (March 20-22). George Mason lost the first game, 10-5 and the final, 10-9, and won the middle game, 3-1. George Mason defeated Longwood, 14-4 in seven innings (March 24). The Patriots swept a three-game series at Saint Louis (March 27-29) in St. Louis, Mo. The Patriots won by final scores of 5-3, 5-3 and 3-1.
The month concluded with the Patriots dropping their midweek game against USC Upstate, 14-10 (March 31). The Spartans won both the Big South regular season and tournament championship last season and played in the NCAA Clemson Regional.
In April, the Patriots are scheduled to play 16 games, with eight at home and eight on the road.
George Mason is back home for a league series against Davidson (April 3-5) before a traveling north for a midweek game at Towson to wrap up the season series with the Tigers (April 8).
The Patriots return home for three games against Richmond (April 10-12) at Spuhler Field.
George Mason begins a stretch of eight-of-nine on the road with a stop at Mount St. Mary's in Emmitsburg, Md. (April 15), followed by three games at Saint Joseph's (April 17-19). After hosting James Madison (April 21), the Patriots pack their bags for a three-game set at Fordham in Bronx, N.Y. (April 24-26) and a midweek game at Virginia in Charlottesville, Va. (April 28) to wrap up the month.
In May, the Patriots are scheduled to play 10 games with six at home and four on the road. The month begins when George Washington makes a visit to Fairfax for three games (May 1-3).
The Patriots will then play four games on the road with a stop at William & Mary (May 5) in Williamsburg, Va. and a three-game conference series at Dayton (May 8-10) in Dayton, Ohio.
The Patriots wrap up the regular season at home with three games against La Salle (May 14-16).
The club will play six home-and-home series during the 2025 season, taking on Georgetown, Longwood, James Madison, Mount St. Mary's, Towson and William & Mary both at home and on the road.
George Mason plays 10 league series, five at home and five on the road. Home series against A-10 foes include three-game weekend sets against St. Bonaventure (March 13-15), Davidson (April 3-5), Richmond (April 10-12) and La Salle (May 14-16). The Patriots will visit Rhode Island (March 21-22), Saint Louis (March 27-29), Saint Joseph's (April 17-19) and Fordham (April 24-26).
The 2025 Atlantic 10 Baseball Championship will be held May 19-23 at Capital One Park in Tysons, Va.
STRIKE ZONE
The two clubs have met two times over the last three years in the Atlantic 10 tournament, with the Patriots winning both games.
The Patriots defeated the Wildcats, 15-11, on day two of the 2023 Atlantic 10 Baseball Championship May 24, 2023 at The Diamond in Richmond, Va. Last year, the second-seeded Patriots downed the fourth-seeded Wildcats, 5-1, in the semifinal round at the 2025 Atlantic 10 Baseball Championship in Tysons, Va.
The Patriots won two of three games against the Wildcats May 1-3, 2015 at Spuhler Field in the first-ever meeting between the two teams.
