This is the thirteenth match up between the Patriots and Spiders. Richmond leads the series 8-4. In their last meeting in March 2025, Richmond cemented a dominant 20-4 victory against George Mason. The Green & Gold look to earn their first win against the Spiders since 2019.

Richmond is ranked at No. 15 in the NCAA RPI Rankings and receiving votes in the IWLCA rankings after their 15-2 defeat against Rhode Island on Saturday. Top goal scorers Juliana Stanley (35 goals) and starting goalkeeper Abby Francioli (155 saves) return for the Spiders.
