FAIRFAX, Va. — George Mason fell to Butler University 4-3 on Wednesday at the Mason Tennis Complex.

George Mason claimed the doubles point with victories across all courts. Monil Lotlikar and Ekansh Kumar secured a 5-1 win over R. Konakanchi and Nicolas Arts at No. 1 doubles. Niza Simunyola and Edgar Vilain followed with a 6-2 victory at No. 2 doubles, defeating Riccardo Baldi and Arnesh Singh. Shari Saeed and Deniz Okyay completed the sweep with a decisive 6-0 win against Nicholas Balthazor and Aidan William at No. 3 doubles.

In singles, Butler responded strongly, capturing four of the six matches. Riccardo Baldi defeated Okyay 6-0, 6-4 at No. 1 singles. At No. 2 singles, Lotlikar of the Green & Gold won a hard-fought three-setter, prevailing 5-7, 6-3, 7-6(3) over Ronin Kasday. Butler's Arts added another point with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Kumar at No. 3 singles.

R. Konakanchi extended Butler's lead with a 7-5, 6-3 victory over Vilain at No. 4 singles. At No. 5 singles, Adria Franco secured a point for the Patriots with a 6-1, 6-2 win against Nicholas Shirley. Siddhartha Lama closed the match for Butler at No. 6 singles, defeating Zavan Fahim 6-1, 6-4.
