FAIRFAX, Va. - Sophomore pitcher Abbey Lane has been named Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week after delivering dominant performances in the circle for the Patriots.

Lane made three appearances in the circle this week, including two complete games against Fordham, totaling 16.0 innings pitched. She allowed zero earned runs and recorded five strikeouts.

She came up big in the Patriots' conference opener against the Rams, tossing a 4-0 shutout against the preseason favorites in game one of the series. Lane also helped secure the series win in game three and finished the week with a 2-0 record.

The weekly honor marks the first of Lane's collegiate career. As a freshman last season, she was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week on March 10 and earned 2025 Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team honors.

The Patriots split time between home and the road this week, hosting a doubleheader against UMass Lowell before making the short trip to Washington, D.C., for a three-game A-10 series against George Washington.
