PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The George Mason track and field teams will head back on the road to compete at the Penn Classic, hosted by the University of Pennsylvania at The Ott Center. In Philadelphia, the Patriots will face athletes from Bucknell, Colgate, Columbia, Georgetown, Hampton, Howard, Maryland, Norfolk State, Penn, Pitt, Princeton, Villanova, and William & Mary.
The Penn Classic features two full days of competition, running from Friday, February 6, through Saturday, February 7. All field events will take place on Friday, with the women's weight throw and long jump kicking off the meet at 11 a.m. Track events on Friday will begin at 4:30 p.m.
Saturday's events will start with the women's 3000m at 12:15 p.m. A complete meet schedule is available, and the live results website will provide real-time updates to follow the Patriots throughout both days of competition. Both days of the Penn Classic will be available to watch on ESPN+ (Day 1, Day 2).

LAST TIME OUT
The Patriots delivered a strong two-day performance at the Patriot Games, the team's first home meet of the indoor season. Nicholas DeWolfe captured the men's heptathlon title after winning the long jump, pole vault, and shot put. Additional event victories came from Lloyd Sheppard-Brown in the men's 5000m, Kailynn Tyson in the women's 60m, Jayden Apenteng in the men's 400m, Jayden Smith in the men's 60m hurdles, and Kaela-Michelle O'Connor in the women's 60m hurdles. In the field, Walt Bannerman and Kennedy Drish claimed pole vault wins, while William Michael Baker won the men's weight throw. The women's 4x400m relay of Shanell Berry, Salma Fizaoui, Simone Hamlar, and Ay'rianna Moore capped the meet with a first-place finish, highlighting a balanced and successful home meet for the Green and Gold.
