VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - The George Mason track & field teams are set to compete at the 2026 Atlantic 10 Indoor Track & Field Championships this Friday, February 27, through Saturday, February 28, at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.
Last season, the women's team claimed the indoor title for the first time since 2014. The Patriots were down 11.5 points with four events remaining but were able to edge past in-state rival VCU, the reigning women's indoor champions for the past three years. Meanwhile, the men's team finished in second place, trailing the five-time defending indoor champions, Rhode Island. The George Mason men's track & field team last won the indoor title in 2019.
Competition begins Friday, February 27, at 9 a.m. with the men's heptathlon 60m dash, followed by the women's pentathlon 60m hurdles at 9:20 a.m. The first day will conclude with the men's distance medley relay (DMR) at 7:10 p.m.
On Saturday, February 28, the meet resumes at 10 a.m. with the women's shot put and the men's heptathlon 60m hurdles. The women's 4x400m relay is scheduled as the final event of the 2026 A-10 Indoor Championships at 3:15 p.m., followed by the awards ceremony at 3:40 p.m.
A complete meet schedule is linked and available online. Live results will also be provided, offering real-time updates to follow the Patriots throughout the championship weekend. Both days of competition will be streamed on ESPN+ (Day One, Day Two). The 2026 A-10 Indoor Track & Field Championships homepage hosts additional information about the event.
