Julius Bagnerise was selected Atlantic 10 Co-Rookie of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.
Bagnerise, from Manassas, Va., hit .500 (6-for-12) with his first collegiate triple and double, and drove in seven runs in three starts at second base over the weekend.
Bagnerise drove in two runs against Seton Hall on Friday in the Patriots' first game of the Swig & Swine College Classic at Shipyard Park in Charleston, S.C.
Against Ball State on Saturday, he recorded his first three-hit and three-RBI game, going 3-for-3 with his first career triple and notched his first NCAA stolen base in a 6-1 win over the Cardinals. On Sunday, Bagnerise went 2-for-5 with his first collegiate double and drove in two runs in an 11-1 victory over Seton Hall.
The Patriots are scheduled to host Lehigh for a three-game weekend series beginning Friday with the first pitch slated for 2 p.m. at Spuhler Field.
