FAIRFAX, Va. - George Mason softball's home-opening tournament has been cancelled due to field conditions resulting from the recent snowstorm. 

After evaluating the playing surface at the George Mason Softball Complex, it was determined to not be in a safe or playable condition. With additional inclement weather in the forecast, the decision was made to cancel this weekend's scheduled games from Friday, February 13 through Sunday, February 15.

Friday, February 13 
12:00 p.m. - Morehead State vs. George Mason 
2:00 p.m. - Morehead State vs. George Mason 

Saturday, February 14 
10:00 a.m. - Cornell vs. Morehead State 
12:30 p.m. - Cornell vs. George Mason 
3:00 p.m. - Morehead State vs. George Mason 

Sunday, February 15 
10:00 a.m. – Cornell vs. Morehead State 
12:30 p.m. – Cornell vs. George Mason 

The Patriots are now set to open their schedule next weekend, Friday, February 21 through Saturday, February 22, when they host Hofstra and Fairleigh Dickinson.
