ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The George Mason men's tennis team delivered an outstanding weekend in Annapolis, sweeping Hofstra 7–0 on Friday before securing a hard-fought 4–3 victory over Navy.

The Patriots opened their weekend with a dominant performance against the Hofstra Pride on Friday, January 30.
In doubles play, the Patriots quickly established control across all three courts. Seniors

Monil Lotlikar earned a 6–4 win over Hofstra's Dominic Anderson and Alex Di Fruscia at the No. 1 spot, while freshman

In singles action, the Patriots continued to dominate, securing wins in all six matches. Okyay posted a 6–4, 6–0 victory over Matsuoka at the No. 1 position, while Lotlikar followed with a 6–2, 6–1 win against Anderson at No. 2. Kumar earned a hard-fought 7–6(3), 6–2 decision over Di Fruscia at No. 3, and Simunyola delivered a 6–4, 6–2 win over Albeg at No. 4. In their Saturday afternoon match-up, George Mason defeated Navy 4-3 on January 31 at the Tose Family Tennis Center, securing the Patriots' first dual-match win over the Midshipmen since February 2013.
In doubles play, Navy's J.J. Etterbeek and Herrick Legaspi opened with a 6–2 victory over Simunyola and Vilain at No. 2. George Mason responded as Okyay and Saeed defeated Ethan Garcia and Daniel Seo 6–4 at No. 3. The Midshipmen ultimately claimed the doubles point after Lachlan Buckingham and Jake Young earned a 7–5 win over Kumar and Lotlikar at the No. 1 position.
The Patriot's dominance in singles play propelled the team to their win with three consecutive singles victories. At No. 6, Franco posted a 6–2, 6–2 win, followed by Simunyola's identical 6–2, 6–2 result at No. 4. Lotlikar added a 6–2, 6–4 win over Buckingham. Navy's Jake Young answered with a 7–5, 7–5 victory against Kumar at No. 3, before Vilain staged a comeback at No. 5 with a 2–6, 6–0, 6–2 win. Navy closed the day with a win at No. 1, where Legaspi defeated Okyay 2–6, 6–4, 6–3.
