FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason lacrosse team has released its schedule for the 2027 season, featuring nine home contests and seven away contests. The Patriots will officially begin their season campaign on February 7.
 
"I am incredibly excited for the start of the 2027 season!" said Head Coach Kara Mupo. "We have welcomed 10 new student-athletes, a combination of freshmen, sophomores, and two graduate transfers, who have already elevated our program in every facet. We have also welcomed two new assistant coaches, Leah Knowles and Meghan Deehan '24, who have made an immediate impact within their respective positional units."
 
The Patriots open their season with a pair of home games against Longwood University on Sunday, February 7, and against LIU on Friday, February 12.
 
George Mason then has a quick turnaround as they hit the road to take on Radford on Sunday, February 14.
 
After that, the Patriots are back home for another pair of games, taking on Winthrop on Friday, February 19, and American on Wednesday, February 24. To round out the month of February, the team will travel to Washington, D.C., to play Howard on Sunday, February 27.
 
Wrapping up their non-conference play, the Green & Gold will take on Youngstown State at home on Wednesday, March 3.
 
The Patriots will then kick off their Atlantic 10 play on the road, as they take on St. Bonaventure on Saturday, March 13, before returning home for a Saturday match-up against La Salle on March 20.
 
Then, George Mason will head out for a game against Richmond on Wednesday, March 24, before returning home to play VCU on Saturday, March 27.
 
Conference action continues for the Green & Gold as they head to the capital city for a match-up against George Washington on Saturday, April 3. They will then return home for a game against Davidson on Sunday, April 11.
 
They will then head out for their last two away games of the season, taking on Saint Joseph's on Saturday, April 17, and Rhode Island on Saturday, April 24.
 
The Patriots' last game of the season will be back at home on Saturday, May 1, against Duquesne.
The 2027 Atlantic 10 Women's Lacrosse Tournament will be hosted by George Mason University at George Mason Stadium in Fairfax, Va., from May 6-9.
 
"With the A10 Tournament coming to George Mason Stadium this spring, there is so much to look forward to," said Mupo. "We are full steam ahead and excited for the opportunity to compete for a championship on our home field and represent Mason proudly in May."
