LAST TIME OUT
The Patriots delivered an impressive two-day showing at the Hokie Invitational, highlighted by standout efforts across the track and field. Kennedy Drish led the way in the women's pole vault, clearing a personal-best 4.24m to rank first in the Atlantic 10 and move into the NCAA indoor qualifying picture, while Walt Bannerman cleared a season-best 5.05m to remain atop the conference. On the track, Davian Burke broke the eight-second barrier for the first time in the 60m hurdles, clocking a personal-best 7.95, and Ella Semple earned an event win with a personal-best 4:47.91 in the women's mile. The men's 4x400m relay of Joziah Johnson, Lance Koontz, Jordan Tuck, and Mason Samuels captured first place, while Kailynn Tyson won the women's triple jump with a personal-best 12.61m to move to the top of the A-10. Numerous additional personal bests and conference-ranked marks underscored a deep, balanced performance for the Green and Gold. Eight performances from the weekend in Blacksburg now stand in the program's indoor all-time top 10 records.
