BLACKSBURG, Va. – The George Mason University track and field teams continue their indoor season at Virginia Tech's Hokie Invitational, held at the Rector Field House. The meet will feature a strong field of in-state competition including George Mason, Virginia Tech, Radford, Virginia, and William & Mary, along with a diverse mix of professional, unattached, amateur, and international athletes. Additional collegiate competition will include North Carolina, Tusculum, High Point, Charlotte, Appalachian State, and Montreat.
The Hokie Invitational will span two full days from Friday, January 23rd, to Saturday, January 24th. Action begins Friday afternoon with field events starting at 3:30 p.m. and track events at 5:00 p.m. Competition resumes Saturday morning with field events opening at 10:00 a.m. and track events at 11:00 a.m., before wrapping up in the early afternoon with the final relays at approximately 1:20 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Patriots turned in a strong performance in their most recent outing at the Wesley A. Brown Invitational. Susan Adenitan captured the women's 60m dash title, while Kennedy Drish claimed first place in the women's pole vault with a mark of 3.95 meters, the top Atlantic 10 performance so far this indoor season. On the men's side, Lance Koontz earned the win in the 400m dash, and the 4x400m relay team of Mason Samuels, Joziah Johnson, Aidan Walcott, and Jordan Tuck closed the meet with a victory to cap off the day. Walt Bannerman cleared 5.00 meters in the men's pole vault, topping the Atlantic 10 charts. Six performances from the meet now rank in the program's all-time top 10.
