FAIRFAX, Va. - Mason Madness is back!
 
On Friday, October 17 at 7 p.m., EagleBank Arena will host the official kick-off to George Mason men's and women's basketball season. Mason Madness is presented by The Main on University.
 
Both programs are coming off championship seasons and anticipation is high as November draws near.
 
At Mason Madness, George Mason fans will be introduced to the student-athletes from each team and hear from men's basketball head coach Tony Skinn ('06) and women's basketball head coach Vanessa Blair-Lewis.
 
The teams will also compete against each other in a 3-point contest with braggin' rights on the line. The women's basketball team will look defend its title from the inaugural edition of the contest in 2024.
 
In addition, George Mason Athletics is proud to partner with the Green Machine for performances throughout the evening. The event also will feature performances from Mason Spirit and Urbanknowlogy 101.
 
Plus, students will compete in a student dunk contest, judged by George Mason student-athletes. The winner will receive a free scooter, courtesy of The Main on University.
 
Mason Madness, hosted by Kyle On The Mic, is free for all attendees and no ticket is required. Fans in attendance will receive a complimentary Mason glow stick, while supplies last!
 
The concourse will open at 6 p.m. and both teams will welcome fans into the arena during a special autograph session. There will also be activities throughout the South Concourse during the preshow portion of the event.

Mason Madness is part of George Mason University Family Weekend and is held in conjunction with the George Mason Office of New Student and Family Programs.
 
Please keep in mind, EagleBank Arena has a clear bag policy for the 2025-26 Mason Basketball season. Any bag brought inside must be clear and no larger than 12" x 12" x 6" OR a small clutch no larger than 5" x 7".
